Auditions for our Junior Ensemble 2024

Want to be in panto? Oh yes, you do! Audition for our production this Christmas - Snow White

We are looking for 30 young performers who can dance, sing and act to join our three teams of ten. All performers must be 7+

WHEN ARE THE AUDITIONS?

Saturday 7th September 2024 from 10am (please note you will be allocated a time after registration)

WHERE?

Auditions will take place in Haverfordwest at Vision Arts Studios

WHO?

Anyone aged between 7 and 18

HOW?

You will need to fill out all of the audition registration form below.

Please make sure that you bring a passport-sized photo with you – this is to help us remember you after the audition.

Parents/guardians and family/friends will not be able to watch the auditions.

WHAT?

1) What time do I need to arrive?

Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your audition time. This will give us enough time to register your arrival and make sure you have filled in the registration form.

2) What do I need to bring with me?

Please bring along a printed passport photo/photo of yourself.

You will need comfortable clothes and shoes. Dance shoes are perfect if you have them. Make sure you wear clothes that are suitable for dancing and movement.

Bring a bottle of water and a small snack. The auditions are very energetic and you will get hot and thirsty.

3) What will I do during the auditions?

During the audition the creative team will want to hear you sing, see you dance and play some games but most of all they want to see you have lots of fun!

NOTE TO PARENTS/GUARDIANS

Rehearsals and performances

Joining the pantomime cast is a big commitment and should be considered carefully before registering to audition.

Rehearsals for the ensemble will take place on Saturday afternoons in November. Each member of the ensemble will be required to attend both technical rehearsals and one dress rehearsal and commit to approximately 10 performances between 15th December 2021 and 31st December (morning, afternoon and evening performances Monday to Sunday).

Rehearsals will be in Haverfordwest and the performances at The Boulevard Theatre, Milford Haven.

It is important to note that each child/young performer needs a licence to perform in the pantomime from the local authority. If your young performer is successful following the auditions then a licence form will be issued and will need to be signed and authorised by you and your child’s headteacher. If your child’s attendance record is already low at school it might be worth chatting to your headteacher in advance of registration.

Vision Arts Wales may need to photograph/ film or interview your child for purposes of marketing, archiving and/or publicity.
